Often, we need self-care the most when we have the least amount of time to devote to it. But true self-care--the kind that fills your cup, and leaves you nourished and ready to attend to the daily necessities of your life--doesn’t rely on the quantity of time spent, but on the quality of the self-care gestures that you integrate into your life. True self-care means being deeply attuned to your own needs, moment to moment, and trusting the wisdom of your body to respond to those needs, so that you feel resourced and replenished--not depleted.
In this event, we will examine our beliefs and ideas about what constitutes self-care, as well as address common obstacles to integrating self-care into everyday life. Then, inspired by the daily and seasonal cycles of Nature, we will create a blueprint for an effective self-care practice: one that is simple, precise, and tailored to your own needs and goals. And, because change is the only constant, we will explore how to adjust your self-care practice when the shifting seasons of your life demand it.
Fanny Priest will draw from her experience teaching Yin yoga, her studies in yoga therapy, and her own self-care journey to guide you in creating a self-care practice that is truly nourishing for your body, mind, and soul. Our time together will include discussion, meditation, self-reflection exercises, and gentle, mindful movement, all in an encouraging, inclusive environment. You will leave with a detailed action plan to help you integrate the lessons from the session into your everyday life, and additional, continued support will be available after the event for those who desire it.
All abilities are welcome; no previous yoga experience necessary.
